The amazing Vasquez Family came as a referral from good friend and frequent collaborator Mary Dann.
We started off with a couple of headshot type photos to get the children relaxed and comfortable with the camera.

Then headed to the Manhattan Beach Pier

And ended with some awesome family shots.

One of the most frequently asked questions is about cost. I recently found this great web site that helps couples plan for their wedding budget.
Here’s some interesting information for the two areas I mostly shoot in:
- Palos Verdes couples spend between $44,470 and $74,116 for their wedding.
- Manhattan Beach couples spend between $39,891 and $66,485 for their wedding.
Check it out below.

Several photographers who are considering the Nikon D700 have recently asked for examples. This was shot in Nikon NEF RAW format with the D700 and Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 lens. In this example, the focus point was his right eye. You can click to view the full size file.

I was thrilled when my co-work Riko asked me to be her wedding photographer. She and her gaigin boyfriend Bill are going to heat up Redondo Beach next month for their wedding at the Portofino Inn overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean.
For the engagement sessions, we headed down to the unlikely urban setting of Pine Avenue at Long Beach for a steamy photo shoot.
Here’s my favorite shot.

But I also like this sultry looking shot by the train.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all of Riko’s friends at the wedding. I just hope the Harajuku girls don’t get too crazy.

Yesterday’s wedding was in close-by Palos Verdes. The bride and her mother did all the planning themselves and the event was flawlessly pulled off by Michelle Nichol at the Palos Verdes Country Club.
Here’s the amazing view from Cat’s parents house where everyone gathered to get ready.

This is a detail view of our groom Alex buttoning his shirt. I’m sure all the ladies out there would love to see the before picture this one.

Cat waiting on the final touch-up to her Makeup.

And the final result – beautiful!

I see some future Sean Azul brides in this gorgeous group.

And we’ll leave you with this parting shot of our bride and groom.
